By The Weeks

I've loved looking at the weekly bump progressions I've seen out there on Pinterest and Facebook.  Early on, I decided that mine will be relatively relaxed-no same outfit or location-just whatever works for us that week.

My *goal* is to update weekly with a bump shot until Mini M is born.  Thankfully I have a photographer soon-to-be-dad who is enthusiastic willing to take my picture.

Also note: Jozie the Ham makes an appearance in quite of few of these pictures.  She just can't resist the spotlight!

Week 26

26-Not the happiest of weeks in our house after receiving some bad news about a family member's health. Please keep him in your prayers. Also celebrating the one year anniversary of my grandma's death.  Mini Meyer couldn't get through the day with out some of her Steak N Shake favorites.  Coincidence?  I think not!

Week 24

24-Finally getting closer to choosing a name! This is a tough decision! Going to be a nail biter.

Week 22 (1/2)

22.5-A very exciting week indeed.  Daddy Eric felt Mini M. kick for the first time! Also, bump alert! Houston we have [proof of] a baby!

Week 20

20-It's a boy!

Week 17

17-The exciting news this week is that our gender ultrasound is in the books!  We will officially find out if Mini M. has sugar and spice and everything nice, or snakes and snails and puppy dog tails on Feb. 3!

Also notable is that I felt the first "flutter" kicks on while out to dinner on Jan. 11.  I had no idea what it was at first (was I really hungry? gas?), but after a little research I figured out that it was Mini M moving around!  Baby was also moving like crazy when the doctor was trying to measure the heart rate.  Apparently we have an ansy little guy or gal!

Week 16

16-I finally feel like you can tell I'm PG and haven't just put on a few pounds!

In case you can't see my sign, current cravings: steak and citrus fruits-I've probably had 5 oranges and just as many grape fruits this week, along with a half gallon of orange juice all by myself.

Week 14-End of 1st Trimester!

14-Though my intentions were to get a stunning shot of our last Christmas as a family of two in front of the tree, alas, it did not happen.  Oh well.  I don't look that different anyways. Hey at least I updated the board, right?!

Week 13

13-Our first ultrasound was this week!  Unfortunately Eric had to work but Mini M cooperated splendidly! He/She was moving up a storm in there!

Also, I've finally put on 2 pounds-not sure if it's the baby or Christmas cookies-but exciting nonetheless.

Week 12

12-Sorry week 11, you were a little crazy and we forgot you.  Also, someday I will have photos for my large frames behind me...we'll just say I'm holding out for baby pics!

Week 10

10-Happy Thanksgiving from the 5 of us! (Photographer Eric, Lauren, Mini M, Jozie, and Wyatt-who is not one bit interested in having his picture taken!)

Week 9

9-Ironically, I think I look the most pregnant here.  Let's chalk it up to bloat!

The New Edition

Nope, our new edition isn't home-related. Santa's bringing us a baby for Christmas! (Although he did say we can't open this precious little gift until June 25th!)
Eric and I couldn't be more excited. So far it's been a relatively easy pregnancy characterised by just a few yucky-feeling days and lots of acne and heartburn. I'm so happy not to have dealt with morning sickness which my mom rells me was the worst with me-sorry mom!

Our early prediction for Mini M's gender? We say girl!

Man Cave Update

Good news!

We're almost finished painting all of the windows.  Is it weird that they're the only white-trimmed windows in our house? They were different from all of the other windows to start with, so we decided that, no, it would be okay.

More eye candy from J. Adler (and of course, an old stand-by, Tar-get.)  I'm still deciding what photos are going in these bad boys.

Photo Dump

These photos are pretty random.  Prepare yourselves.

Cute nieces on a train.

We recently road-tripped to Chicago for Eric's cousin's wedding and we had a blast!  It was a gorgeous, vintage-themed wedding (that of course I have no photos of, blerg.)

Oh Uncle Eric.  What are you doing?!

We had a great time visiting with all of the out-of-town family.  It really is a shame we can't get together more often. We're hoping that everyone will be home and off work for Christmas.

Happy 70th birthday Thomas.

My dad's side got together to celebrate my aunt's boyfriend's milestone birthday with not one, but three parties!  We had family in from near and far for the occasion and had a blast.

Annndddd here's a cute parting photo.

Light Swap

My new light (which actually came in from a Crate and Barrel sale about a month ago) is finally up!  It goes with the mid-century mod feel of the house so much better than the old life.

You can also see some of my fall stuff that I finally dragged out.

Anyone else behind on fall decs?

Bathroom Update

*Apparently my last post is an indication of how scatterbrained I'm feeling because I just noticed that I had already posted my wreath in early September! (Sigh.)*

This is going to be a photo dump of all the recent bathroom pictures.  It's *mostly* finished except that I need to hang a shelf to get the knick knacks off of the toilet.  Oh and we need a new trashcan.

Still in love with this subway tile.  Swoon!

Also, yes that is an outdoor light above the mirror and we love it! We've gotten a ton of compliments on it.

Can't decide if I'm going to paint that "M" or not.  Any thoughts?  That airplane picture is a transplant from the living room.  It was a housewarming gift from my college roomie.  It also got a face lift when I spray painted its mat bumblebee yellow.

Two things about this picture.
One: I love my Happy Chic Jonathan Adler rug from his JC Penney's collection link to it here.

Two: Check out our newly painted/glazed/I'm-not-sure-what-the-proper-terminology-is tub! It was blue before, people! Now it's bright, shiny white and we love it.

Happy Fall Everyone!

It's been quite a while since my last post. I'm knee deep in IEPs, ISPs, and evaluations. School is also keeping me busy with the addition of another building on Wednesdays and Fridays, meaning I'm squeezing my entire building into 3 days (which is not working out well!)  Oh well, at least the kids at my new school are super well-behaved.

With all the school stuff going on, I feel like September and now October have absolutely flown. I'm off for the next couple days and looking forward to finally getting my fall decorations out. This wreath is as far as I've gotten-lol. I like the way it helps integrate the brick with the yellow door. Happy fall y'all!

Guest Bath Update

We have walls!

And one coat of "Intense White" Benjamin Moore paint.

Still waiting on the shower and floor tiles, plus tub staining. It's finally feeling like a room again!

Bathroom Inspiration

As you can see from a previous post, we're already knee-deep in our guest bathroom renovation.  Truth be told, I'll actually miss the blue tile.  Had it not been cracked in several locations, we probably would have kept it. Too bad so sad.

Anyways, I've been saving bathroom inspiration pictures on Pinterest for quite awhile hoping that they would come in handy.  Take a look.

Barn Lights from Lowes, $39.98

What I like: galvanized sconces lights (we purchased the same one from Lowes,) white subway tile, and a pop of color on the mirror.  Not sure that we'd do pink but maybe some else bold like red or chartreuse.

black bathtub, subway tiles on the wall. have the subway if only i could get that bathtub! and if only our bathroom was this spacious...

What I like: predominantly bright white space with pops of color, the subway tile with gray grout, and the shower curtain (bummer that it's no longer available.)

Here's muh boyfriend with the power tools he got last Christmas.  Lookin' good boyfriend!

PERFECT! vanity, towels, mirror, light fixture, everything.

What I like: light paint with dark vanity and floating shelves above the toilet.

We've already made quite a few choices and are hoping everything turns out.

Project in the works

Been back to school for two weeks, so why not embark on another big (okay, maybe medium) renovation?!  Be prepared for more bathroom updates!

Vegas Vacay

About a week ago, I was on my way home from an end-of-the-summer vacation to Vegas.  I had a great time visiting my aunt and spending time with my fam (minus my boyfriend-he had to work.)  Needless to say, I was exhausted from the go-go-go mentality of the city, but I felt like I got to see quite a bit for my first time in Vegas.

Flying (first class I might add) over the desert and mountains

Yorkie Jack was happy to see me

Relaxing in my aunt's gorgeous backyard pool after a busy day of traveling

Little White Chapel.  Don't worry, Luke and Hannah didn't get hitched in Vegas

Outside of Pawn Stars. All the guys were on vacation and we "just missed" the old man.

Hannah outside of Pawn Stars shop

Wouldn't be a trip to Vegas without a stop at the famous "Welcome" Sign.

 Drinks at the Luxor

Reunited with the guys after their 105 degree day of golfing

 Stop at Margaritaville

Inside the Luxor Hotel

More tasty treats at Margaritaville

Bobby Flay's MESA Grill Restaurant

One of Gordon Ramsey's pub restaurants

Outside Caesar's Palace (don't worry we were inside also.)

Overall this trip was a great way to end the summer!
